1. General information
Practicum II is the second phase of the stay in the educational centre. It is understood as an extension and complement of the other modules and will be developed before the final completion of these, so that students have the opportunity to analyse and reflect on the experience in the Practicum, as a final closing activity of these modules and as a starting point for the final drafting of the Master's Final Project. The main objective of this subject is to approach the teaching environment of a Secondary Education Centre, based on the theoretical foundations seen in the previous modules.
It is mandatory for all students in the Master's program in order for them to have a second period of contact with the reality of teaching, both in terms of interaction and coexistence in a centre and classroom, in order to approach the usual dynamics of a centre of Secondary Education, as well as the, as well as the planning of learning activities through a didactic program or part of it.
Likewise, either in the planning of sequences of activities to be implemented in the classroom or in the design and implementation of specific tasks, elements of didactic innovation should be incorporated. Students will also be able to propose improvements to these activities or draw conclusions from the detailed analysis of the results obtained in the implementation and contrast them with educational research results.
Objective:
To acquire the competences that will allow them to develop professionally as a Mathematics teacher in a Secondary School from the interaction and coexistence in the classroom and the teaching-learning processes, to plan the curricular and instructional design for the development of learning activities and to propose measures for improvement from research and / or teaching innovation in the subjects corresponding to the specialization of Mathematics.

2. Learning results
1. 1.- Identify the contents of some of the curricular areas that are worked in the classroom during the internship period, relating them with the cycle programs and with the official curricular documents.
2. Describe the characteristics of the students and of the class, understood as an instructional and social group, the teaching strategies and the main teaching-learning problems that the teacher encounters in their class.
3. Identifies students' difficulties in learning mathematics, analysing their causes and establishing implications for the teaching process.
4. Design, implement and evaluate didactic sequences that are based on explicit principles of teaching and learning of Mathematics and that incorporate elements of didactic innovation, and propose improvements based on the analysis of the experience.
5. 6.- Adequately use the expressions and vocabulary specific to the educational field and the corresponding curricular areas.
Competencies: CG04,CG05,CB6,CE28,CB29,CE30,CE34,CE36,CE46
4. Academic activities
Face-to-face activities:
1. Stay in the destination centre during the established period and participation in all those activities that are proposed by their tutor during their stay in the centre, among them:
-Attendance as an observer to classes taught by the tutor or other teachers of the centre in a number of hours per week similar to that of a full-time teacher.
-Participation in these classes, as a support to their tutor, and as a teacher in some specific occasion, having to teach at least 5 class sessions
-Attendance as observer to different meetings.
-Elaboration of teaching and evaluation materials and discussion with the tutor.
-Correction of an evaluation test and commentary with the tutor about the criteria used in its evaluation, the mistakes made by the students,..
2. Participative attendance to 3 tutorials with the Faculty tutor: one before Practicum I, one before and one during Practicum II.
Autonomous work activities of the student, of individual character and obligatorily related to subjects of the mathematics specialty that will be reflected in a report that will include a class diary, comparative study, report of class teaching and conclusions.
5. Assessment system
Assessable activities:
1.(compliance/non-compliance) Compulsory attendance at the educational centre every day of the Internship and to all work sessions scheduled therein. The hours that make up the internship tutor's working day , including direct teaching, department meetings, evaluation meetings, tutor meetings and any other work included in their working day, will be considered as face-to-face. This activity is mandatory and a sine qua non condition for the evaluation of the subject.
2.(10%) Attendance and participation in meetings called by the University tutor.
3.(50%) Attitude and interest in the different activities carried out at the Centre (classes, interviews, work sessions), demonstrated by asking questions, searching for information...
4.(40%) Quality and rigor of the Practicum II report in terms of:
-Adequacy to the planned content
-Basis of the reflections
-Critical and self-critical capacity.
-Formal aspects (presentation, spelling and wording)
Assessment criteria are as follows:
-1 and 3 will be evaluated by the teacher-tutor of the educational centre.
-2 and 4 will be evaluated by the teacher-tutor of the university.
-Each failure to attend the activities in section 2 will result in a loss of 1 point out of 10 in the final grade.
-The overall grade will require the fulfilment of section 1 and that the student has obtained at least 50% in each of the grades awarded by the two tutors in sections 2, 3 and 4
In any case, any of these are causes for failure with the minimum grade:
-To have a negative report from the tutor of the centre where the Practicum II is being carried out.
-To obtain a grade lower than 5 or Not Submitted in the evaluation of the tutor of the educational centre.
-To obtain a grade lower than 5 in the Practicum II report.
-To have a percentage of absences higher than 15% of the total duration of the internship period in the educational centre.
Fifth and sixth summons: for the evaluation of students in this situation, the same evaluation criteria and requirements are applied as indicated above, depending on whether it is the first or second summons of the school year.
Finally, it must be taken into account that the Regulations of the Norms of Coexistence of the University of Zaragoza will be applicable to the irregularities committed in the evaluation tests by means of academic fraud, as well as the application of article 30 of the Regulations of the Norms of Evaluation of Learning in relation to irregular practices other than academic fraud.
